Shakespeare Manga

What does the title of the manga, Othello, mean?
In the manga Othello which is about this girl with split personalities, why is the title Othello and does it have anything to do with the Shakespeare play? Here’s a link if you don’t know what I’m talking about: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Othello_(manga)
I assume you can read your own source.
The Wikipedia page you’ve linked explicitly mentions that it is the board game, not the Shakespearean drama, to which the manga refers (although the *game* does trace back to Shakespeare).
So it’s marginally confusing, at best.
