Basic Steps On How To Draw manga

In order to learn how to draw manga, some basic tools are required such as, an HB or 2B pencil used for drawing. A soft pencil can also be used but try not to let it smudge so that it does not ruin the drawing. An eraser is also needed if any mistakes are made and must be corrected. Finally drawing paper will be a key component for your project. Following some simple steps and techniques will help an individual to familiarize with the shapes of the characters they want more quickly and easily.

The following steps are helpful to learn how to draw Manga: first thing that is important to know about drawing, is that a person must have a have basic knowledge of human anatomy. If you are finding it hard to draw the body, a book or tutorial class will be helpful. It is important to pay attention to every detail when drawing different extremities of the body. Starting with the head of the character, which normally will be smaller than the body, draw a circle with three vertical lines across the inside of the circle and one horizontal line crossing them.

When drawing the eyes, there are different types and shapes of eyes.The shape of eyes in these comics varies and expressions are often developed with the eyes.The main focus is on the following parts the upper eyelid, the lower eyelid, the inner and outer corner of the eye, how big the pupil is and the white of the eye. It is essential to draw the movement of an eye when it looks at a certain direction or when they are closed.

The next step is the nose and mouth of the character. These parts of the face are usually drawn with thinner lines than other parts of the face. The nose is shaped as a wedge or is shaded using a lighter touch with the pencil. Shading is often used with female noses which are smaller and thinner than more masculine characters.

The lips are defined by a small thin line, sometimes curving depending on the expression of the character. The chin has a small and pointy or curvy shape. The ears should be in alignment with the bridge of the nose. Normally the ear will begin at the same level as the eyes of the face.

When drawing the body, a straight line that has basic shapes like cones, spheres, cubes and cylinders, representing parts of the body will be of great assistance in maintaining the appropriate scope and size of the character. Arms should not be too long and hands normally will reach the thighs. They can be in a different position with every character so it is important to start with drawing two circles to join the elbow with the hand, and the hand with the wrist. Joining the knee with ankle, and the foot with the leg will be accomplished in the same say.

Drawing hands and feet can be hard when trying to maintain the appropriate size of them. The hands should not be too big and the feet should not be too small and pointy. When drawing hair, it should have a natural flow that is slightly on the head. The bangs should fall slightly above the eyes and can be drawn using whatever style is desired.
